*EXCLUSIVE* Brand new bar/restaurant planned for Marlow with live music 7 days a week!

Living In StoreWow, just a week after the brand new Bill’s restaurant opened on West Street, we can announce plans for another BRAND NEW venue just a few doors along the road!

The location is the old “Living In Store”, which has been closed for some while – although as detailed below – the plans go even further than that!

The venue is being planned by the New World Trading Company, and the brand name they are using for the applications is “The Botanist” – they currently have 6 locations in the North of England using this name, although they do have a couple of other places with different names.

the botanist logoTheir website gives an idea of what the brand represents:

“A concept like no other, offering a soon to be world-famous selection of botanical cocktails, craft beers and ales, Champagne and wine. Food inspired by the deli, rotisserie and BBQ. With live music every night, sublime social times are guaranteed!”

Yes – that’s live music EVERY NIGHT. A music agency is currently being used to recruit  “piano vocalists, guitar vocalists and duos playing upbeat, feel good rock/pop/soul/blues covers.”

Planning is well advanced, as detailed below.

Planning application – APPROVED

revised plansPermission has been granted to change the building’s use to “Restaurant/Bar”, but it doesn’t just stop there. The plans also permit construction of a glass link corridor to merge the location with the rear part of the empty offices at 10-12 Oxford Road. Blimey! We have used yellow highlight to show the extent of the proposals – on this plan – publicly available on the Wycombe District Council website. New venue would be 1 (ex Living In Store) and 2 (rear of 10/12 Oxford Road offices). The remainder of 10/12 Oxford Rd is shown as No 3, and will be a separated off for other use.

Application for a Premises License – APPLIED/PENDING

The application seeks to sell alcohol and provide “regulated entertainment” from 11am to midnight Sun-Wed, extended to 1am on Thursday and 2am Friday/Saturday.

Finally, for now – a couple of images from other Botanist venues, to give a feel for the sort of vibe we might be expecting.  And, you know it…. watch this space for more details as they evolve!
