A talk by Janet Smith.
Thursday 15 October. 8.00pm
Garden Room, Liston Hall, Marlow, SL7 4DD
Janet is a local historian who has made a lengthy study of manorial documents and buildings to discover the site of Marlow’s earliest manor house.
Marlovians will be intrigued to hear about her latest research, revealing how the Norman Hall of the manor may have survived under a completely different guise until the mid-19th century.
Janet’s new conclusions entirely overturn her earlier theories on the hall’s location and general long-held beliefs about the town’s history.
Entrance: £4, Members:£3, Students: £1.50.
