Sunday 19th June 2016 12.30pm to 5.30pm marks the 25th anniversary of Bisham Open Garden Day and this year will be held in memory of Patricia Burstall BEM. Patricia founded and ran the day for 24 years, but sadly passed away in March following an accident at her home.
Come and enjoy a lovely day out in the picturesque village and parish of Bisham. 11 or more gardens will be open, including 2 new gardens, plus the historic riverside 12th Century All Saints Church, and Bisham Abbey. At least 3 of the gardens are riverside and one can only be visited by boat from White Walls. 3 gardens have chickens and one invites you to dip your hand into the honey!
Food available in selected locations:
- White Walls, Quarry Wood Road, SL7 1RE is a beautiful Yellow Book garden with wonderful views up to the spectacular Marlow weir. Ploughman’s lunches will be served here. Boat trips and ferry to Hideaway Garden 2
- 30 Bisham Village serves hamburgers, hot dogs and more .
- The Old Boat House, Grange Cottage and Bisham Abbey will sell teas and homemade cakes.
Cost; £5.00 per adult to visit all gardens and Bisham Church and Great Hall of Bisham Abbey. Children under 12 free, half price for 13 – 16. Boat and Ferry trips are available for an additional small donation.
How to get event passports: Tickets available on the day at White Walls, Quarry Wood Road, 30 Bisham Village, All Saints Church Bisham, Bisham Abbey and at other gardens along the route.
Directions: Parking restrictions on Quarry Wood Road SL7 1RE will be lifted for the opening period. Parking also available at Bisham Abbey, a few near the Church and Grange Cottage.
