Rebellion Brewery now brew…… lager!

| |

Rebellion Brewery have just announced their new Rebellion Lager – being the first keg lager brewed  in their 24 year history.

The lager will be released in Marlow on Friday the 19th May. It will be unveiled simultaneously at three local pubs and on The Rebellion Bar at Tom Kerridge’s Marlow event, Pub in the Park.

The first pubs to take the new beer will be The Royal Oak, The Coach and The Hand and Flowers, with more pubs taking delivery in the following weeks.

A Rebellion lager has been in the pipeline for some time, and following the first trial brew in April 2016, they have been developing the exact colour, flavour and quality that they wanted to achieve.

Ed Bates, head brewer, described the lager as “An authentic lager brewed using the finest specialist German malt and yeast. The key to its delicate clean taste is a cold fermentation and a long, slow maturation which allows the subtle flavours to slowly develop. Continental hops add a light floral element and gentle bitterness, helping to create an extremely crisp, refreshing and drinkable character”.

At first the lager will be only available in local pubs and bars. Customers of the brewery shop should expect to see it on sale in bottles in the Autumn.

You can rest assured MyMarlow is on a mission to bring you an early review of this product!! 🙂
