Steamer Trading Cookshop to remain in Marlow a bit longer…

| |

Having previously announced the imminent closure of its Marlow store, Steamer Trading Cookshops have now announced that it will remain open for the foreseeable future.

Back in August we reported on the approval of a planning application to convert the Steam Trading shop back into a pub/restaurant, specifically the “Lost and Found”, a premium brand of the Marston’s brewery group https://www.mymarlow.co.uk/2017/08/lost-found-plans-approved/

Having sold the site to Marston’s earlier this year, Steamer Trading have now reached an agreement allowing them to remain in place over Christmas and beyond, while they continue to look alternative premises within the town.

Owner Ben Phillips told us “This is wonderful news. Marlow is the foodie capital of the area and absolutely where we want to be. We always hoped that our absence from Marlow would be brief, but being able to stay in place over Christmas not only moves that back, but gives us a better chance of finding new premises that we can move straight into.”

So, the plans are still on the cards – just pushed back, good news for fans of this popular store!
