Roadworks: A404 Bisham Bridleway

| |

We have received the following info from Highways England, concerning road closures to construct a new bridlepath. Interpreting the description, this looks like a very useful link, connecting 2 quiet local lanes (see map above)

Kier Highways, on behalf of Highways England, will be undertaking work to construct a bridleway alongside the A404 between Hurley Lane and Bradenham Lane, to provide a safer, better access to Temple for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders.

The work is scheduled to start on Monday 18 February 2019 and is expected to be completed on Friday 10 May 2019.

For the safety of our workforce and customers, the following traffic management restrictions will be in place on the A404 northbound carriageway:

  • Monday 18 February – overnight closure of the northbound carriageway from Burchetts Green to the Bisham roundabout with a diversion via Henley-on-Thames
  • Tuesday 19 February to Thursday 9 May – overnight lane closures
  • Friday 10 May – overnight closure of the northbound carriageway from Burchetts Green to the Bisham roundabout with a diversion via Henley-on-Thames

In addition, the northbound exit slip road to Bradenham Lane will be temporarily closed Tuesday 19 February for a three weeks, and again from Monday 29 April for a two week period. Traffic for Bradenham Lane will be diverted via Bisham Roundabout and Temple Lane.

Please be aware that these works have been carefully programmed but are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances – please check the yellow signs placed in advance at the junction for confirmation of the closures dates/timings.

We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption caused during our work; if  you have any questions, or if you’d like to know about our work please contact us on 0300 123 5000 or email info@highwaysengland.co.uk
