Marlow 5 – Route and road closure details

| |

The Marlow 5 is taking place on Sunday 12th May starting and finishing in Higginson Park. Good luck to all competitors – and be sure to look out for the MyMarlow cameras!!

This does mean that the roads around the centre of Marlow are going to be busy from 9.30 a.m. until about 10.30 a.m. and a rolling road closure (obtained from the County Council) will be in force during that time.

Race marshalls will try, as much as they can, to allow cars to get around but there will be times when drivers will be held up because of the sheer number of runners on the roads. This is especially true at the Marlow Donkey Pub at the junction of Glade Road, Station Road, Lock Road and Dedmere Road where runners pass through three times so, if you possibly can, please try to avoid that junction until after 10.30

1 ) The race starts at 9.30 a.m. and proceeds up the High Street before turning right into Spittal Street.Runners then carry on into Chapel Street before turning right into Glade Road and then right into Station Road.

2) They then take a left turn into Mill Road and onto Gossmore Lane before turning left into Riverpark Drive. At the end of Riverpark Drive they turn right into Lock Road and then right into Station Approach by the Marlow Donkey Pub.

3) Runners then proceed through the industrial estate before turning right into Fieldhouse Lane and almost immediately left into Parkway.  At the top of Parkway, they turn left at the roundabout into Little Marlow Road, then left at the next roundabout into Wiltshire Road, right into Gunthorpe Road and through into Westhorpe Road.
