The football season is starting to get into pre-season as Marlow United start to make some signings, while the cricket season is in full swing and Marlow CC are starting to find good form. There was also a certain Rowing event….!

Cricket

Marlow CC picked up a three-wicket victory against Chesham 2nds last Saturday to continue their impressive performances of late.

Marlow performed well throughout chasing down their visitors target of 145.

Having won the toss Chesham opted to bat first but their top order failed to get going as Harry Williams (2-16) and Matt Kidd (2-17) made life difficult for the Chesham batsmen.

Marlow captain Imran Nawaz took three-wickets at the tailend as Chesham ended their innings at 144-10.

Nawaz then continued his good work with the bat making 10 before being caught by his opposite number.

Segio Feede’s 34 put Marlow in the driving seat and Tom Bryan (27) and Harry Spear (16 not out) drove the home side to victory.

Marlow Park are back in league action this weekend against Windsor after a week off.

Football

Marlow United logoMarlow United FC are getting ready for life in the Hellenic League One East with a host of new singings.

Marlow United manager James Pritchard tweeted his delight at the players joining on and believes they will add ‘strength, quality and competition’ to the squad.

Marlow Town Regatta

It was a busy old time in Marlow as the Town Regatta brought Higginson Park to full capacity. Plenty of action out on the water distracted from the occasional downpours of rain as crews from far and wide got involved in plenty of competitive races.
