Marlow’s newest cafe, Strawberry Grove, opened today at the bottom of the High Street with Marlow’s Mayor Cllr Richard Scott cutting the ribbon.
As we previously reported the cafe will initially open from 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm Saturday and 9am – 5pm Sunday. Once things have settled, they will extend into evening opening.
The “soft launch” menu is smaller in size than the full one will be, but there is still plenty of choice! The menu includes a range of brunch offerings, soup, buddha bowls, and sandwiches – including the Hot Salt Beef which is the signature dish at their two other cafes. The salt beef is made to a secret recipe from the father of Marta Downs, one of the owners. Of course, we HAD to try the salt beef, it was delicious 🙂
And then.. there are the cakes. A massive range of home made cakes! As you might expect this is accompanied by a range of teas and coffees, juices, plus cream teas and afternoon tea.
Gluten free and vegan options are available too.
It really is a lovely setting, the decor really stands out as something new on the High Street. A bookcase with children’s books marks it out as being 100% family friendly too.
MyMarlow wishes the owners Marta and Stuart all the very best in this venture. We are confident it will be a success, and a popular new venue in town.
