*GALLERY* VE Day 75 in Marlow

| |

The 75th Anniversary of VE Day was celebrated yesterday- but in a very different way to how things were originally planned. But.. like elsewhere across the country, Marlow was keen to mark and celebrate the day!

Early in the morning we shared an amazing photo of our flag projected onto Marlow Bridge, we were treated to a Red Arrows flyover, and then people partied in their own homes, gardens, and driveways – all while maintaining social distancing.

Then in the evening, we shared a photo of the War Memorial beautifully illuminated, and sat back to watch BBC1’s coverage, and during the video accompanying the “We’ll Meet Again” singalong, were delighted to see Da Luca, Oysters Fish and Chips and Saddle Safari all appear (see photos in gallery) What a great showing for Marlow!

Here’s a great collection of photos sent to us, which capture the day perfectly.
