Light It In Red – in support of the Events industry

| |

On Tuesday 11th August event companies and locations around the country UK lit buildings RED in order to draw attention to the dramatic situation facing the Events industry industry, calling for urgent government support to survive the COVID-19 crisis. Marlow is home to many individuals and companies in this sector, some prominent ones create well known local and national events, others are essential in providing all manner of event support services.

Marlow’s All Saints Church was lit up in dramatic fashion by Marlow based Lumatech.

Chris Clarke of Lumatech told us

“Today we stand with our colleagues and friends in the events industry raising awareness of the devastating effect covid19 has and will continue to have on the live events sector. A fantastic group of businesses, freelancers and support companies whose single goal is to produce the most amazing events for all our enjoyment. The live events sector employs over circa 1,000,000 highly skilled people in the UK, the majority of whom have had no work for the past four months and with little likelihood of restarting until Spring 2021.
Thanks to @allsaintsmarlow for allowing us to light their stunning building once again.”
