Sandygate schoolchildren run Mini London Marathon

| |

Over the week 28th September to 5th October the children and staff of Marlow C of E Infant School (Sandygate School) took part in the 40th London Marathon by running a ‘Mini London Marathon’!

Every child in school (and many of the staff) ran a distance of 2.6 miles over a measured route around the school grounds. The older children ran this in one session whilst the younger Reception children ran the distance over 5 days.

They showed amazing resilience keeping going through wind, rain and sunshine to complete the distance 🙂

As well as encouraging the children to exercise and improve their physical and mental health, the school is hoping to raise money through sponsorship from family and friends to be split between the Parent & Friends Association and the One Can Trust.

A Virgin Money Giving page set up if you want to support the fundraising effort:

Well done staff and children!
