A window of pottery pops up in Marlow High Street

| |

A pop-up window display full of functional pottery has appeared at 52 High Street. Local online business Keeeps will showcase handmade pottery created by independent UK potters, both emerging designers and established ceramicists.

Keeeps, founded by Tamra Booth in March 2020, supports independent potters by promoting and selling contemporary ceramics, including vases, plants pots, kitchenware, and other homeware. Each piece is hand-picked by Tamra, who would welcome any local potters to get in touch, and whose aim is to put UK studio potters firmly on the map.  All the featured products are made from no-waste material, all packaging is bio-degradable, and Keeeps strives to do its best to positively impact its employees, the community and the environment.

Whilst the property owner, Sorbon Estates, has offered pop-up shop opportunities in Marlow since 2012, they are now offering this pop-up window opportunity to other businesses wishing to try out the market in Marlow.  The past year has been tough for retail and a window display is a great opportunity for local businesses to raise awareness of their offering without having a physical store. Sorbon Estates would welcome anyone considering a pop-up window to get in touch to find out more.

Tamra Booth, founder of Keeeps and MD at Sorbon Estates said: “I got talked into this by my Sorbon team and actually I am glad I did, as we are already getting lots of interest in Keeeps. Anything to keep the high street looking vibrant is okay with me. Creating a physical presence for Keeeps and raising awareness of the brand and the UK potters we support is an added bonus. We hope to open an actual Keeeps store in the coming months and this is a great way to test the waters and gauge interest in the brand.”

“Sorbon Estates would love to support other local businesses in this way and encourage any who would like to try it to get in touch with the team to find out more. One of the great things about Marlow is the variety of shops, particularly the independents, and we are always keen to see new brands and ideas come to fruition in this wonderful town where residents welcome them wholeheartedly.”
