Hayden Gallery opened on Marlow High Street today and is a newly established family run independent Art gallery. MyMarlow attended the opening event on Friday evening, and our gallery below has some photos.
Hayden Gallery is owned by artist and sculptor Tracey Hayden. Tracey and her husband Bradley first moved to Marlow in 1995 and apart from a short break in Devon, have lived in and around Marlow ever since. Even back in those days Tracey always wanted to own her own gallery now 28 years later the dream is being realised. Tracey told us: “It has taken all our married life for Bradley to finally realise I meant it!”
Tracey is also the artist in residence and will be happy to talk about her own and fellow artist’s work. There is a great range of work on display, from a variety of artists including Marlow based Beth Cullen Kerridge and Crispin Wride.

Anna Hayden is the gallery manager and will look forward to welcoming you to Hayden Gallery where you can take your time to browse refreshingly original work.
We are proud to say that we only exhibit original artworks from unique artists, sculptors and artisans whether they are emerging talents or established creators.
We have had many supportive comments from passers-by in the build up to opening, but some people may think that Marlow doesn’t need another gallery. However, having four good galleries in Marlow will, we think, bring people into the town for a “gallery afternoon” – so in our opinion the other galleries are not competition and I hope that we can all work together. We hope that Hayden Gallery’s presence on the High Street will only enrich and vary the choice of art available to the community and beyond.
We are open from 11am until early evening Tuesday to Saturday and noon till 4 on Sunday.
We have been fitting out the gallery for a couple of months now and it is beginning to really take shape – and we open with quite a full gallery – we will be showcasing quite a lot of artists initially in order to illustrate the eclectic mix of art the gallery will be covering.
