Cllr Muryel Boulay, Mayor of Marlow is inviting residents to nominate outstanding young people for recognition at an upcoming Civic Celebration on Sunday 29th March 2026, celebrating the positive impact young people make across the local community.
Three awards will be presented this year, each highlighting a different form of contribution and dedication.
The Young Community Champion Award will recognise a young person who consistently helps others through volunteering, supporting neighbours, or taking part in community service. This award celebrates selflessness, kindness, and a strong commitment to making a difference.
The Young Innovator Award will honour a young person who has brought fresh ideas to the community. This may include achievements in technology, environmental action, creative projects, or entrepreneurship, recognising a young person who thinks differently and inspires positive change.
The third award, The Mayor’s Choice Award, will this year be presented to a young carer. This special award aims to recognise a young person who goes above and beyond to care for a loved one, showing exceptional compassion, resilience, and dedication.
Speaking about the awards, the Mayor of Marlow said:
“Young people make an incredible contribution to our community every day, often without recognition. These awards are an opportunity to shine a light on their achievements and to say thank you for the difference they make. I would strongly encourage residents to nominate a young person whose efforts deserve to be celebrated.”
Nominations should be submitted by Friday 20th February 2026 and will be reviewed by the Mayor and Marlow Town councillors.
