Digital TV switchover in Marlow – April 2012, roadshow Jan 12th.

| |

TV is going digital in the UK during 2012. Precise timings depend on your location in the country, but for Marlow it will be April 2012.

This affects anyone who receives TV through an aerial – analogue or Freeview.

The existing analogue TV signal will be switched off and replaced with a new, stronger digital TV signal (which explains why even current digital Freeview users are affected).

According to the official website www.digitaluk.co.uk switching over in Marlow occurs in 2 stages: two stages on 04 Apr 2012 and 18 Apr 2012.

  • 4-4-12 BBC2 analogue is switched off. You will need to re-tune your digital equipment to pick up the available channels.
  • 18-4-12 The remaining analogue channels are switched off. You will need to re-tune your digital equipment again to pick up additional channels.

To help with the switchover, Digital UK are hosting a series of Roadshows in January, and will be opposite the Cross Keys Pub, Dean Street, Marlow from 9am until 5pm on 12 Jan. (Not so handy if you are at work of course…..)
