If you have walked down Marlow High St, you will most likely be aware of the fire at Haringtons hairdressers last week.
Less obvious at the time was the impact on Scarlett Monroe shop next door, which has also has to temporarily close down. Owner Geraldine Pipping told us “We are extremely upset about the incident and are working hard to get the store up and running as quickly as possible. We cannot be certain about a time frame yet but hope that it will be in the next few weeks”

Regarding Haringtons themselves – the Marlow premises serves as the Head Office as well as the salon. The cause of the fire is understood to be electrical, and is still being investigated.
David Lambert, Director of Haringtons stated “It is devastating news for our staff and clients but we are very grateful that no one was injured in the fire. We would like to extend our thanks to local traders who have offered their support and help at this difficult time, to our clients for their understanding and patience and to our staff who have been fantastic – a great example of teamwork.”
Staff from the Marlow salon are now operating out of Haringtons salons located in Beaconsfield (01494 677377); Henley (01491 576600) and Maidenhead (01628 636747). Full details can be obtained from www.haringtons.com ; Facebook page www.facebook.com/haringtonshair or by calling 07827 345901
