Marlow's Mayor officially opens Gather & Hunt

Gather & Hunt, a new independent artisan grocer opened its first store on Marlow High Street earlier this month, selling lovely food over 2 floors.

Last Saturday 29 September Marlow Town Mayor, Jocelyn Towns dropped in for the official opening. We heard there was champagne and smoked salmon on offer, so obviously went along too! One of Gather & Hunt’s producers, the recently launched Joe’s Tea Company was also on hand to conduct tastings of their tea range.

Specialising in fabulous food and drink, the shop’s mission is to stock some of the tastiest food from around the country.

Wide selection of food on offer

Gather & Hunt are sourcing a wide range of great-tasting food and drink from smaller producers: artisan bread, butter and cheese, local eggs, bacon and sausages through to yummy puddings and craft beers. Owner Martina Hunt told us “it’s important that every product tells a story, whether it’s raspberry jam from Dorset or pork pies from Lincolnshire. But most importantly, what we care about is that everything we sell is delicious!”

The range of food in the shop will change with the seasons and they are always keen to try interesting products and to meet new producers. So if you would like to nominate a producer or product then get in touch on the website www.gatherandhunt.co.uk, twitter @gatherhunt or via facebook.
