Mayor Suzanne brown opens the gallery with Fiona Hunter

Last weekend saw the opening of ‘BLiNK’, a pop-up photography gallery on
Spittal Street in Marlow.

Local photographer Fiona Hunter will be displaying and selling limited edition images in handcrafted frames.  Subject matter ranges from the more abstract to photos of Marlow and the surrounding Thames Valley countryside.

Fiona trained as a graphic artist before going onto roles such as advertising art director and creative director. After giving up the rat race to raise a family she also took up photography when she had a spare moment. Soon her photography became more than a hobby and having family in the gallery business, she decided there was a gap in the market for a fine art photography shop.

Fiona told us: “I noticed more and more photography was being used by interior designers in exciting ways, but really there wasn’t much for sale on the high street. It is either ridiculously top end or bland poor quality images.”

Whether you are looking for an original art piece for your home or work, a unique gift, or whether you just enjoy browsing the shops in Marlow – Blink will  surely be worth a visit!
