heritage open daysHeritage Open Days offers people the chance to see local places of interest, often not open to the general public – all of which are offering FREE entry.

www.heritageopendays.org.uk has a search facility to find events all round the country, but here are the one in the immediate Marlow area:

 Marlow Rowing Club

A chance to see inside the brand new state of the art rowing club on three floors. Top floor bar and cafe with balcony giving wonderful views of the river and the Grade 1 listed chain bridge. There will be a small exhibition about the rowing club members who fought in World War 1.

Opening Times: Saturday 12 September: 10am-4pm, no booking required

All Saints Church, Bisham, SL7 1RW

bisham churchThere will be expert guides on hand to show visitors the many treasures of this ancient and beautiful church . The tower is over 800 years old and the church has been connected with many aristocratic patrons whose splendid chapels and tombs adorn the interior.

There will be a small exhibition on local soldiers who died in World War 1.

Event not suitable for children under the age of 5.
