The food, the view, the Laura Tilbury
We recently dropped into Marlow Rowing Club Bar and Cafe, and met up with Laura Tilbury who runs it. Laura has long been responsible for the bar, but recently took on the cafe too.
The menu changes all the time, and of course it is all freshly prepared home-made stuff. On our visit there were various baguettes, salads, chili, omelettes etc. Opening hours are Tuesday-Friday 9am to 2.30pm with the bar open from noon, making it a perfect weekday brunch and lunch stop. We are keen to highlight the bar and cafe, since it might not be an obvious stop when you are walking around the town centre, but easily has the best view of any venue in town! The bar is great value too, with Rebellion IPA for example being £3.50 a pint.
Laura hopes to extend these hours in due course – perhaps Sundays, and also to run occasional special events on Saturday evenings.

Social Membership of the Bar
The bar is open other times for Rowing Club members, e.g. Sunday afternoons, and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. However, anyone can take out a Social Membership for £50pa to gain access to the bar at these times – enjoy the views and the cheap booze! Prospective Members event on Sunday 15th October
Laura is running a “Buy One Get One Free” on Rebellion lager and bitter this Sunday with a raffle etc – aimed at members and prospective members, so all are welcome. 12 noon to 2/2.30ish!
