Call for the Unsung Heroes of Marlow!

| |

Marlow Town Council  is calling on the people of Marlow to put forward their ‘Unsung Heroes,’ who will be invited to the town’s second ‘Celebrate Marlow’ event this September in recognition of their contribution to the community.

“Please help us by telling us about your Unsung Heroes,” is the request from Mayor Jocelyn Towns. “We know many of the individuals and groups in Marlow give up their time and energy voluntarily for the community. We know there are more out there that we are not aware of, so please help us to find them so we can invite them to our community celebration in September as a thank you for their support to the community.”

Celebrate Marlow was held for the first time last year at a lunch event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, with guests from all parts of Marlow society: senior citizens, veterans, schools, cadets and volunteers. Tributes to Marlow were made by schoolchildren, local celebrities and residents, and there was music from school bands and choirs.
