A local company, Sorb Engineers (based on Globe Business Park since 1966) has decided to not have their usual staff Christmas party this year, and instead host a FREE event for the elderly residents of Marlow on the 13th December between 11-3pm.
They approached nearby Coopers Cafe, who jumped on board to be the venue.
Sorb staff will be on hand helping escorting guests to the venue (if needed), serving food, and generally joining the party.
Mike Simpson of Sorb told us “For most, Christmas is a time for fun with family and friends. For others though it can be an extremely lonely time. So the theme this Christmas at Sorb is to try and help those people. As well as spreading happiness, it might even encourage other local businesses to adopt a similar event in the future.”
