The old “Chic” hairdressers in Crown Lane has been on the market for new tenants for a while.

Most recently there was an application for a drinks licence – when Three Chairs Male Grooming were interested in opening there. Their “thing” at the existing location in Princes Risborough is being a barbers where you can get a drink, and they also host live music evenings. Anyway…. there were some initial objections, and they decided to pull the application.

What could be next…?

There is now a planning application for “Change of use from Use Class A1 (hairdressers) to Use Class A3 (vegetarian/vegan cafe with specialty coffee and teas) and external seating area to site frontage”

The specifics of the plan involve the cafe downstairs, with a kitchen on the first floor. A small courtyard seating area is proposed – a couple of small tables with chairs, shielded by some low level level timber plant pots.

At this stage, we are awaiting a decision from the Planning Committee. So far, there has been a bit of to-and-fro regarding extraction units to reduce cooking odour for local residents.
