Austin’s sandwich shop and cafe has closed.
Yesterday (Sun 4th August 2019), the premises was opened up to sell of the fittings and stock.
MyMarlow spoke to the business owners who confirmed that they had come to the end of their lease. Their decision to close was based mostly around wanting to focus on other business interests they have – but they did mention that the rent would have increased 20% if they had chosen to stay!
Whatever the circumstances, it is always sad to see another closure – and this has been a sandwich shop for MANY years, albeit under different names/ownership 😞
The property is now available to let, at £24,000 pa.
