UPDATE 17th December 2019

The relevant Planning Applications for external signage and internal work have been APPROVED. So a new Specsavers in Marlow, and decent value glasses etc looks ever more likely! 🙂

Original post 28th Sep 2019:

Specsavers have submitted various planning applications relating to the shop on West Street recently vacated by Wesley Barrell.

One application relates to the exterior signage, as shown in our image -which confirms the store would operate an as optician and audiologist.

The other contains all the detail of the proposed interior, focussing on the air conditions units and slight internal alterations.

The property is a Grade II Listed building, and the application states ” The proposed works will not harm or damage the listed fabric of the building, and every effort will be made to retain the historic character and appearance of the building. “

As ever with planning applications, this is all early stage stuff – we will keep you posted on progress of the plans!
