Seed1 – back soon!

| |

You may have noticed that Seed1, a not-for-profit, zero waste shop on the High Street has now closed.

But, thankfully this is not the full story!! We spoke to business owner Lora Wilson, who confirmed the details.

Lora told MyMarlow “In September, Toni & Guy kindly offered us use their retail space for free while they finished repairs to the building. They have now completed the repairs needed to the roof and flat above the shop and have only a small amount of work left to do to the interior of the shop before they can relinquish their lease. To do this, they now need access to the shop, so we have had to move out.”

“We were hoping to have some overlap in getting keys to another space so we could more or less continue trading in one space to the next, however there has been a delay in gaining access to a new shop and with Tony&Guy having been so generous already, we didn’t want to cause them problems by staying longer in their premises.”

So, as can be seen from our photo – the Seed1 stock has gone into storage and the immediate goal is to get a new unit as soon as possible.

Once found, it will take the team a couple of weeks to fit out the new unit but then Seed1 will be back, and Lora intends on this being in a permanent space, not just a pop up. Great news for Marlow!

Lora concluded by saying “We are really grateful to everyone who has visited us in the past 4 months and apologise for any inconvenience caused, but do hope to see you all again in our new place!”
