Newfield Place – a space for everyone!

| |

Newfield Place has been created at Foxes Piece School to provide a shared space for both school families and the wider community. The school has passed us details of all the exciting opportunities for clubs, events, sports, arts and more – and the school has a great vision for how this revamped space can be used by the whole community.

A space for everyone….

Sadly, after ‘Lockdown 1’ Newfield Church no longer needed to lease the building on our site as Covid-19 had changed the way they met and worshipped.  At Foxes Piece School we realised that we had an opportunity to do something new for our families. For several years the idea of a community café had been brewing (excuse the pun!) but we had never managed to develop it further until now. Over the last few weeks and months the ideas grew and Newfield Place was created.

Newfield Place is a bright and accessible space that the whole community can share.  We have a wonderful new café area, sports hall and several smaller rooms/studios that are available to use.  Our vision is that Newfield Place will support new ideas; bring together old and young members of the community in a creative and appealing environment.

The new fully functioning café is a wonderful venue to hold a coffee morning, brunch club or even a family celebration. There are also several smaller rooms that are light and flexible spaces that can be adapted for counselling or therapy sessions or a convenient location for a studio.

The old school sports hall is a spacious, light and airy room that would be excellent for sports, fitness and creative arts classes.  Our vision is that (with volunteers and partners) we are able to provide a range of community events – such as family monthly cinema experience, a weekly board game and craft café or fun sports and activities such as badminton.

If you would be interested in volunteering at our community events or would like to enquire about renting any of our spaces (café, hall, or smaller rooms) please email newfieldplace@foxespiece.bucks.sch.uk or call on 01628 483455.
