Plans for a new butchers shop on Chapel Street

| | , ,

A planning application has been submitted for a new butchers shop on Chapel Street, which would be called “The Meat Hook of Marlow”.

The application states “It is our intention to change the use of the ground floor unit at 22 Chapel Street, Marlow from a veterinarian’s surgery to a new high-class butcher’s shop. Along with the change of use we propose upgrading the retail unit by replacing the existing shopfront and rear entrance, installing new
signage and awnings and refurbishing the internal retail area.”

The location is where the “Pet Healthcare Centre” Vet used to be, next to where Waitrose used to be – which itself is expected to end up as a Lidl. Still with us?!! If not, the wider shot below marks the spot:

This is an interesting development, given we have the Butcher’s Tap just a very short walk away. We will keep you posted of progress, as usual!
