Giggling Squid –  the new Thai restaurant opens Tuesday 11th February in West St, Marlow on the site of the old Pachangas.

We posted the original news of the opening on our Facebook page, and got plenty of positive responses, with many references to the excellent food at the Giggling Squid in Henley.  So we were excited to try it out for ourselves – and were lucky enough to go along for a sneak preview opening last night.

The building has undergone extensive refurbishments which cost £300,000, and has a lighter and airier feel than previous restaurants on the same site. The internal layout has been significantly altered, and as well as the standard tables there are some “booth” type seating areas too.

The main thing of course is the food, and we are happy to report it was delicious. On our “preview” visit, there was a reduced menu, but we made sure we tried a good selection. The official press release mentions the “freshness” of the food, and its not just hype – you can really taste it.

Quite simply we thought it was all delicious, and speaking to other diners – every single one agreed. I’m sure the pictures will give you an idea…..

A great addition to Marlow’s restaurant scene.  Delicious, fresh food  – well presented, in a laid back environment with excellent service.

  1. As a business owner and resident of Marlow I am delighted to finally see the Giggling Squid open. If the food tastes as good as the restaurant looks it is set to become a popular and valuable asset to the town. I personally can’t wait to give it a try.
