Westhorpe Interchange (Little Marlow roundabout) – have your say!

| |

Plans are afoot to improve the roundabout where the A4155 road to Little Marlow crosses the bypass, primarily to improve access to Globe Park. The proper name is the “Westhorpe Interchange Upgrade Works”  and a consultation process  is now open and will run until Friday 1st February 2019.

The aim it to reduce congestion, and improve access with the Globe Business Park.  Funding is in place from Highways England and local councils, and work is expected to start during 2019.  The 3 main options they are seeking comments on are:

  1. Traffic Signals – full or part time where the A404 bypass exit sliproads join the roundabout.
  2. New slip road by Fire station – ie the northbooand A404 would have a direct route route to Parkway, bypassing the roundabout.
  3. Reopen access road – there is a closed off access from the A4155 next to the care home. This could be brought back into use.

In addition they are seeking thoughts on whether to consider upgrading the Britannia pub zebra crossing to one with traffic lights.

Finally, any other ideas?

So, you can read details of each proposal here if you want, and then visit the survey here to give your responses.
