Meat Hook of Marlow now open!

| | ,

It was 6 months ago that we first announced a new Butcher’s shop coming to Chapel Street, but today “The Meat Hook of Marlow” actually opened!!

The business is owned by Andy Cook – a familiar face to many of us in Marlow from his previous meat selling in Marlow, and we are excited to have him back in town. First thing this morning, Andy showed us around the fabulous shop, and introduced us to the team. And after that he asked MyMarlow to declare it open- quite the honour, although a bit embarrassing to be reporting on ourselves 😉

The shop

Butcher’s

The finest of meats as you would expect from Andy, spread across 2 huge counters.

Fishmongers

Fresh Fish from Cornwall daily , with Simon on the counter.

Deli Counter –

A fab range of cheese and charcuterie. Mel is behind the counter, and has previously worked for a business making charcuterie, so knows her stuff!

Patisserie

An amazing range of from local small business “Syllabub cakes” run by Marlow’s Beth Cowdery

Wines

A select range of quality wines

Andy told MyMarlow “I am so excited to be back in Marlow, and I thank everyone for their kind words – so many people have dropped in to say hello while we’ve been setting up. I can’t wait to see you all, and show you our amazing selection. I am very proud of what we have worked hard to set up here”

He also added ” We will be taking Christmas orders as of today too, and wanted to reassure everyone there is no shortage of stock at the Meat Hook of Marlow”

Some thanks….

Andy wanted to give thanks to some of the local trades people who have pulled out all the stops to help makes sure the shop opened on time:

Dave from Prestige Site Services, Electricians
Olly from Hazell’s, Painting and Decorating

MyMarlow says..

Quite simply – welcome back, and welcome to the rest of the team. It is a beautiful shop, and we wish it all the best, but we are confident of it being a huge success 🙂
