Marlow Flood Alert – UPDATE

| |

Higginson Park this morning – makes for dramatic photos but we’d rather not see it flooded!

Marlow is under “Flood Alert” (Flooding is possible) and specifically ” Property flooding is not expected. River levels have risen on the River Thames, as a result of recent heavy rainfall from Storm Dennis. Therefore, flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue. ….. Our incident room is open, and our response staff have been in the area clearing trash screens and checking defences.”

Just along the river on the Henley/Medmenham stretch they are one step up at “Flood Warning” ie flooding expected”.

Looking at river levels at Marlow Lock – as per the image below, it does seem to have at least stabilised overnight, after a few days of non stop increases.

Fingers crossed things start to improve – we will update here as needed.
